EWT DW54 500KW Direct Drive

The EWT DW52 / DW54 are superior 500KW wind turbines. The rotor of the turbine provides a direct drive to the synchronus generator without the requirement of a gearbox. The power generated by the turbine is fed back to the Grid via a full power back-to-back inverter that controls the output, making it much friendlier to the Grid than the older turbine designs.

PIONEER P250- 250KW WIND TURBINE

Empowering Wind is delighted to be the exclusive sales, construction and operations arm for Pioneer Wincon Private PTY in the UK and Ireland.

With our focus being primarily on the Northern Irish market the Pioneer Wincon is a well proven Danish wind turbine design with over 840 machines in operation and a track record of successful performance dating back over 15 years.

In Northern Ireland, the current value per MW of electricity generated by wind turbines not exceeding 250KW is £172. The P250 allows us to realise the potential of the Northern Irish wind market, whilst mitigating risks of losses due to downtime by maintaining stocks of component parts and engineering capabilities centralised at our Northern Ireland operations office located in Newtownstewart, Strabane.

The typical cost of installing the turbine is £295,000 + Grid connection.
