EWT DW 52 /DW 54 500KW Direct Drive 

Our chosen technology for many of our single 500KW projects in the UK. There are over 300 DW52 and DW54 turbines operating worldwide.

The turbine is available at 900KW, 750KW or 500KW.

SG500 54 

The most cost efficient and well proven German engineered 500KW wind turbine now available in the UK.

With 51 units in operation throughout Germany, Japan and Austria the SG500 is a high performing wind turbine with an impressive 12 year performance track record at European sites.  The turbine had a new converter and electrical configuration overhaul in 2010 to meet the latest G59 and other European Grid codes. 

S&G Engineering Gmbh and Empowering Wind has established a manufacturing and assembly joint venture, based in Middlesbrough our firm batch of 500KW winf turbines will be installed in Q-02 2012.

The Lagerwey L93 is Lagerwey Wind's next generation Direct Drive, manufactured to the highest standards and with the very latest technical advances, the L93 is proven to outperform the older 2.5MW wind turbine designs.

Empowering Wind has developed a close working alliance with Lagerwey Wind, where we are co-developing UK projects exceeding 45MW

For projects exceeding 15MW installed capacity we work alongside Enercon, Vestas and other leading manufacturers.

Northwind 100 - 100KW Direct Drive

With the first turbine installed in 1999 and over 175 Northern Power 100 installations the Northwind 100 is a leader in its power rating and class.

Empowering Wind is delighted to be working with Northern Power Systems. Our direct relationship with Northern Power ensures we receive all the support necessary to facilitate every aspect of the construction and operation of the turbine.

The Northwind 100 is our chosen technology for projects of <250KW.   

With 13 units installed in the UK and the first turbine spinning in Ireland the Northwind 100 is a well proven and robust turbine with the most up to date technology. 

Pioneer Wincon P250 - 250KW 

With over 840 installations and a track record of successful performance dating back over 15 years the P250 is our chosen technology for our 250KW projects in Northern Ireland.

Empowering Wind is the exclusive UK and Ireland sales arm for Pioneer Wincon. We offer turnkey construction, operations and maintenance of the Pioneer Wincon turbine with the full support of our manufacturer.

The P250 is a robust Danish wind turbine design originally conceived some 16 years ago by Wincon West of Demark.  Wincon West was acquired by Pioneer Wincon in Chennai, who have since become the market leaders in India, where there is substantial demand for turbines of this size.

Supplied with a standard warranty of 2 years, the turbine has low maintenance costs. Empowering Wind keeps stocks of replacement parts in Northern Ireland ready for instant dispatch.  

An annual Operations and Service Level Agreement is provided inclusive of a 95% technical availability warranty from just £10,500/yr.
